The next-gen of Google Glass includes earbud

Don’t mistake these guys for security personnel.

It appears that Google is almost done preparing the future of wearable computing, Google Glass, as the company showed off an updated version of Google Glass frame that includes an earbud.

The modified version apparently looks like the earbud is a removable piece of accessory that is attached to where the charger port is connected. The company also announced that this will be the first model to support prescription lenses.

Earlier reports suggest that Google is gearing up the production of Google Glass ahead of expected consumer release in 2014. Those who already own Google Glass under Explorers program can invite up to three people to purchase Google Glass for $1500. With these little changes being added to Google Glass, we can’t but wonder how the consumer version will look like.
